Kodaikanal- 6 ways to go:

Way 1:

In between batlagundu(வத்தலகுண்டு) and Dindigul(திண்டுக்கல்) there is a ரவுண்டானா (roundabout). Its name is அ.பிரிவு(a.pirivu). It is within 2km from batlagundu bus stand.

அ.பிரிவு(A.pirivu) 4.5km பட்டிவீரன்பட்டி(pattiveeran patti) 2km அய்யம்பாளையம் (ayyampalayam) 4km சித்தரேவு(sitherevu) 14km (pullaveli* see note 1 below) 4km பெரும்பாறை (perumparai) 3km தடியன் குடிசை (thadiyankudisai* see note 2 below) 10km தாண்டிக்குடி (thandikudi) 9km பண்ணைக்காடு (pannaikadu *see note 3 below) 14km a point where 3 roads split

- From that point Left side downside hill road goes to kumbakarai waterfalls at (36km) via அடுக்கம்(adukkam)..from kumbakarai you can reach periyakulam(more or less 10km)

- from that point right side road goes to palani via perumalai(more or less 60km upto palani from this point)

- from that point if you go straight you will reach kodaikanal at 12km

Note 1:

From pullaveli village if you turn right side you will reach pullaveli waterfalls within 1 minute. If you continue riding in that direction you will see the stream above pullaveli waterfalls. You can hike along it. If you ride on the road above to the stream by bike or car you will reach பன்றிமலை(panrimalai)

Note 2:

From தடியன்குடிசை (thadiyankudisai) if you turn left you will go to kodaikanal as written above. If you go down from thadiyankudisai you will reach pullaveli and down to batlangundu as written above. If you turn right you will reach the hill down to kc patti and then down to ஒட்டன்சத்திரம் (ottanchathiram)..the km in between thadiyankudisai and ottanchathiram is 55km

In this path you can also go to பன்றிமலை (panrimalai)

Note 3:

From பண்ணைக்காடு (pannaikadu) road splits into 3 roads.

- straight road up the hill goes to kodaikanal

- right side road goes to thadiyankudisai via thandikudi

- left side down the hill road goes to batlagundu.

Way 2:

வத்தலகுண்டு(Batlagundu) 25km periyakulam nearly 8km kumbakarai falls 36km to the point said in way 1 above via அடுக்கம்(adukkam). Then from that point Kodaikanal is 12km.

Way 3:

ஒட்டன்சத்திரம் (ottanchathiram) 55km தடியன்குடிசை (thadiyankudisai) via kc patti..

Then from thadiyankudisai you can go to kodaikanal(see path in way 1 written above)

Way 4:

Palani 60km to a point mentioned in way 1 above via perumalmalai....then from the point Kodaikanal is 12 km above

Way 5:

வத்தலகுண்டு(Batlagundu)  33km பண்ணைக்காடு(pannaikadu) 14km to a point where road splits into 3

- left side road down the hill goes to kumbakarai falls(36km) via adukkam

- right side road goes to palani(60km) via perumalmalai

- straight road goes to kodaikanal(12km)

Way 6:

There is road in between உடுமலைப்பேட்டை(Udumalpet) and munnar. At a certain point in this road you can ride to kodaikanal via beautiful hidden way.This road is not known to all.

You can go only by bike and not by car. Also you might be attacked by elephants.
